8/8/07: Governor Kaine and his Cabinet will hear from a public-private partnership, consisting of WVLT, two local landowners, the Western Virginia Water Authority, and Hollins University, that placed a highly visible 253-acre area on Tinker Mountain under easement. The preservation effort won the 2006 Scenic Virginia "Best Preservation of a Scenic Viewshed" award. A reception will follow. Open to the press and public. When: 5:00 p.m. Where: Hollins University, 7916 Williamson Road, Roanoke.
