Videos by conservation easement donor Sky Preece, Buchanan, VA
In 2008, WVLT purchased a conservation easement of 45 acres of land owned by Mr. Preece. The easement protects long lengths of Back, Mill and Looney Creeks in Botetourt County, as well as a large wetland that is flooded by beavers each winter. Mr. Preece frequently welcomes local public schoolchildren and Hollins University students to the property for field trips and scientific studies.
